So I was invited to take part in a wild boar and roe deer hunting while on holidays in Lithuania. I thought I'll throw up some picks since we don't get much of that here...;)

gave brazzil a buzz last night and didnt take much to convince him we were going for lamp,so he callled to my place we had cup of tea to warm the core, grabbed the .17hmr and him the road , first fox was lamped roughly 100 yards fromt eh passage ,no calling or coaxing just mounted the gun on the roof and gave brazzil the nod and squeezed off a 17gr to the back of the neck , so on we went from there and i knew exactly where we were heading as i missed a sitter in this field not long ago and brazzil was quick to remind me!!!! so when we pulled up there was a fox standing there ,so same method no calling just mounted gun and then the f*%ker took off and stopped and was lying down and i could just make out the top half of his head. so steadied up and squuezed and put it straight through his teeth .RESULT! had a great night and great laugh with brazzil, only got pic of one but we got two

Local farmer was loosing some poulty recently.
Got talking & offered a hand. Set traps & told him to keep an eye on em as I was out of the country with work & came back a few days later to this guy well dissolved in the MK6. So far so good but talk about a dirty job to get em off it - just fell apart.

Lots of grouse about seen 15 in a two hour walk.
One covey of nine great to see all in the np.
you will need your zoom to find the four grouse and one springer.

myself and brazzil hit couple of hot spots last week of an evening and was delighted to bag a few here they are with oddie . pulled off a lovely right to left crosser and oddie was on fire marking all these birds to the tee

First snipe of the season for myself and new addition English Setter Bailey first day out with her and my gun. Went to a spot where they are normally in their drones. Not this year, bone dry, but shot this one we did meet luckily enough with one shot, met 2 hens en route also, lovely to see she has a different set for snipe and hens to cocks. Sit and points for hen/snipe and sets like an arrow with cocks, either upright or really low to the ground, looking forward to the season cant come quick enough. What a bird these Snipe are....:D:D

so after a hard night on the beer last night i woke early this morning to no hangover so contacted brazzil and told him i was en route with monty.so picked himself up and we headed for the river as we were walking along we spotted 3 mallard flying over us and making an attempt to land so we jumped into the nearest nettle pile . then we lost sight of them but had it narrowed down to one stretch of river and as we walked in about 6 mallard broke to brazzil and 1 to me
    brazzilhassmallballs4_zps4d5b3f6b.jpg

,not like brazzil to miss anything but this time he didnt deliver . i managed one drake and a text book retrieve from the big man. so on the way home i said i would try one more spot and brazzil didnt leave me down this time just as we rounded the corner and looked into the pond we noticed three or four mallard drakes on the other side of the pond and as they were flying away i heard the shot and the parcel was delivered ! so by the time we got tothe other side of the pond the duck had made it a distance on foot but the springer trailled him and made it look easy ! job done brazzilhassmallballs3_zpsc6b25c09.jpg
