Two cocks and a rabbit today, seen plenty of both which is a great sign. Out at the ducks now this evening. Hope everyone had a successful opening day!

Maybe it's the latest trend. :D

I see the hand is not slowing you down in the slightest. Good shooting.

PS - Still loving the rifle. Gun porn.

He wasn’t the biggest pheasant but he was fair wild. Jill put him up out of fairly heavy cover after a good hunt. His spurs tore my arm asunder when I was ringing his neck. Blood ended up on gun. The young pheasant put up a good fight, definitely not a released bird. ;)

    It is AYA O/U
They are scarce enough. It a nice gun.
Only problem is I use to shoot from right shoulder, and the gun is cast for a right shoulder. In the new year I will get a new stock for it.

    Cheers

Shot a fox at 100 yards with the 300 win mag myself in September, my first with the 300. When I was taking the shot there were two things running through my mind. That the round would be too powerful and zip through, not putting it down cleanly OR that it would make a serious mess. I was quite surprised at how well the bullet performed (Hornady sst). Clean kill and good expansion

I use the Soft Point Fusion, that is the good side the left side was just a gone ,the round is devastating on deer with neck & head shots fantastic killing round .Anything I ever hit with one drops on the spot at whatever distance.

Got this cracker today after putting him out twice before he finally held up in the tightest cover and setter did her job. Completely gold but the head.
