been kinda bad for me here today, using both Firefox1.0 and IE6.

FF has been the worse tho...IE brought up the last few pages for few after a bit but FF just timed out.

been like this most of the day.

I *think* it's going better now but I'll know after i post this.

On and off for me - timing out, and DB errors. Been using muppet for the last 3 hours, was working much better than www about 3 hours ago, I forgot to switch back.

    :)

On and off here too, thought it might have been my connection initially.

I just flick over to muppet whenever www goes though...

I wasn't aware mexican beavers were such heavy internet users.

    YOU!

Stop me making me laugh in work.

The uptime is generally fine. It's been a while since boards has been completely unavailable.

Replace the www with pie or muppet in the boards address Ruthie.

    So its:

    http://pie.boards.ie
    and
    http://muppet.boards.ie

Some of the posting times seem out of synch too.

The last post before mine on this thread is set at 16.19 yet its only 15.20...

I don't know if this is any use to anyone...

When the site was acting up yesterday, the thread subscription and rate thread drop-down menus were freezing on screen. If I scrolled down the page I got a line of drop-down menus all down the left-hand side of the screen.

Had to close IE and reopen to get it to stop.

Same happened at 3pm today, and I lost a post to AH at about the same time.

So this may be a bit off topic but what is the story with the pie and the muppet boards address things? just like coming in the backdoor or something?

yeah but its a back door we may or may not close soon.

    DeV.

Maybe something to do with load? The point of www is that it allows load balancing between pie and muppet. If www goes down, and suddenly everyone switches to muppet, that may be a bit like trying to get the entire cruise ship safely onto one life raft.

Or maybe it's something completely different.
