Its un-educated cowardly midget brained idiots like these that should be ****ing trampled on in a crowd and killed, and nobody even notices they're dead because they're worthless... People who take time out to slag off the dead, a dead legend in this case, and get their facts wrong in this case, deserve to be shot... Not Darrell Abbott...

It's ridiculous how seriously people take the internet these days... It's a joke. Obviously a sick joke that really isn't funny AT ALL and they're scum for making it but just the fact that you're all here saying they're filthy c**ts for making the site shows that their attention whore qualities are working.

Hell even just the fact that there's a site moaning about how this site was made just goes to show that they're succeeding in grabbing attention.

There's a lot of sick shiznit on the internet... Just ignore it and it'll go away (or at least seep into the deep dank recesses of the web)

he wasn't killed in january, stupid site

Where did they say he was?
A message posted in the "About Us" section of the web site reads as follows: "The second week of December 2004, 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott formerly of the band PANTERA was shot and killed at a show in Columbus, OH.

Isn't he the "dead guy" for January?

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,586 ✭✭✭✭Mr. CooL ICE

Yeah, and I bought the February issue of Metal Hammer on st stephens day...

Good point though, that fcukface just wants attention and doesn't care how he gets it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

According to blabbermouth.net, yes he was. But today's the 12th of January, the blabbermouth article appeared yesterday (11th). Bit early to be deciding dead guy of the month for January, wouldn't you agree? And I've already spent far too much time thinking about this tasteless and rather sh*te attempt at a joke.

The site in question has been suspended, following a deluge of hits and a number of complaints.

I do hope you're not referring to me when you use the term fcukface...

fair enough it was in bad taste,

"He was in PANTERA. He was in DAMAGEPLAN. Now he's in 'THE GROUND'.

    rofl

it might be in bad taste, but it's still funny. Just like all the wtc jokes, just like the tsunami jokes we're sure to hear in 2-3 weeks time and just like my personal favourites, dead baby jokes.

    But they're banned from boards.ie :(

As Numina was saying, I was talking to some muppet in school and I brought up Pantera in the conversation, Stupid muppet, let's call her "Moustacha", said "oh yeah, pantera were on stage a while ago and some guy got shot AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" So as well as being maddened at her insensitive muppet-ness, I also tried not to laugh at the fact that she thought it was PANTERA onstage at the time, so after explaining to her that pantera are no-longer together, and saying it's unfair to laugh at someone's death, Moustacha then say "omg, he died?!!? that is HILLARIOUS" at this point I found myself ready to kill the muppet, and just walked away before doing something bad.

    R.I.P Dimebag.

yes, it's in bad taste, no i didn't find it particularly funny, but if this was 12 months later, you wouldn't have been so vocal about it's depravity... sad, but very true.

glad to see the site is down and that they appologised(sp?)

I don't think what he said was so bad but in the context of him being Dead guy of the month on a website called we won't miss him and having a bullit hole in his head was stupid. Other than that he has a point about the whole deep feeling of loss for someone you didn't even know but I'd argue music is a lot more personal than a can of mountain dew and it can strike a chord with you *no pun intended* where a can of mountain Dew is a can of mountain dew..

tbh, if you're a guitarist, and a fan of pantera, then Dimebag is bound to have been an influence and as such, made an impact on you. It's a hell of a lot more personal.

Thats just sick! How could someone make a site like that!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

yeah, it's so much worse than all the child porn, racism, religious nutjobs and webforums.

laughter is a perfectly valid part of the healing process
