Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thats a bit sad to be honest.. Being a Liverpool supporter I can only cringe at crap like that..

Not being a liverpool supporter, i can only wonder at the mentality of those who find that list entertaining or funny. 41? Why 41? Why bother? Most of them just seem to be entries in a tit-for-tat squabble that has been going on for years now. Still, dont let me stop ye (im sure it wont anyway).

as a utd fan i found some of them funny, most are irrelevant stats but worse of all letting beardsley go when they had him

I'd say it's more aimed at the fact that we're playing united at the weekend ;)

Don't see why it should go in the recycle bin once things are kept civil - it's about football although not particularly interesting (sorry VinnyL :) )

ha ha, dont be sorry, just thought something light in the forum before all the heavy stuff starts would be nice!

cause as soon as that liverpool v man utd thread starts, its gonna be madness as usual

This is one of the few I found mildly funny .

    38. Ruddock winding Cantona up by continually turning his collars down and provoking a retaliation that earned the Frenchman a booking - October 1995

That is funny because it is on the Official Liverpool website... I would expect that from a fan site but not an official one! FFS how petty. I agree with JTG, if I saw something similar on manutd.com I would be the exact same.

That's pretty sad for a once great club to be putting stuff like that on their official website.

I like this one the best:

Premiership Titles: Manchester United: 8 Liverpool: 0

Believe it or not FatherTed, there was football before the premiership.

The stat I particularly like is similar

    League titles - Liverpool 18 - Manchester United 15

was there not something o nthe offcial man utd site about liverpool supporters before?

the police might of even been involved in that incident.

It was racism that United were accused of, obviously not nearly as pathetic.

Linky - http://www.soccerpulse.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t12076.html funny but united did not leave that page up for long.

  • Moderators, Regional North East Moderators Posts: 12,739 Mod ✭✭✭✭cournioni

I can't see how that can be racism. There is no racist chanting involved. Just because it is in a different language doesn't make it any worse than singing it in English, tbh.

But I agree its pretty petty to have that on the official website.

but liverpool ARE the most successfull british team ever....

Liverpool win tomorrow and the'll deffo come in the top four, united loose tomorrow and thats the title over once and for all.

Both teams are under a serious amount of pressure all the same though, could turn out to be a woeful game...

No, Liverpool have won the European Cup four times.
That must have been when European football was at an all time low. ;)

no sorry but it was when to win the european cup you had to win all of your games!
    no group stages!

That's technically incorrect ... you only had to win all of your 'ties'. Possibility was there to lose 4 out of 9 games (5 rounds if I remember ?) and still take the title.

On topic tho I did enjoy this one...
