    Its seems to be a bot that reads the titles of the forum then spams it with matches from a database.

    Yes iirc.

    The problem is that these articles aren't very enticing and that they don't lead to any discussions in most cases.

    Maybe it would be better if the mods of each forum picked out the two or three links they think would be of most interest to users and presented them in a more appealing format.

    We're moving to something like that. Also Q has to dump a lot of the older stuff before it catches up and then it becomes a lot better. We use a similar idea for the Poker forum and it works well enough after it settles down.

    There are plans in the works for Mod selected news etc. Its going to be an interesting year.
