Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey Playboy, did you go and see it in the Speigeltent (I think that's the spelling) back in October? The one where a band had come up with a score and played it live behind the screen and where a duo gave a short presentation of the sound effects art named after an Irish guy to a scene of Once Upon A Time In The West? That was classic. The film was good too. :)

I haven't seen much European cinema but of the ones I've seen I guess I'd say:

    1. Amelie
    2. Run Lola Run
3-10. Can't remember much that stood out.

    Run Lola Run
    Good Bye Lenin

Taxi (the French original not that piece of rubbish remake!)
    Amelie
    Life is Beautiful
    Il Postino
    Jean de Florette/Manon des Sources
    Brotherhood of the Wolf

Here's some that immediately come to mind. As I plan on watching a sh!tload of European films this year (having grown tired of Asian films) this list will probably change substantially in the future.

    The 400 Blows
    All About My Mother
    Amélie
    Das Boot
    F#cking Åmål
    Good bye, Lenin!
    Bande à part
    Lilja 4-Ever
    The Return
    The Wages of Fear
    The Battle Of Algiers

I know there's 11 there but couldn't take one out.

    I don't want to repeat any titles, so many good movies have been mentioned. Here's a few others that came to mind;
    Wings of Desire
    Bread and Tulips
    The Birdcage
The Count of Monte Cristo (French)
    Ridicule
    Pauline and Paulette
    Attack and Retreat

Das Experiment wasn't particularly great IMHO, I'm not sure why so many people like that one. Run Lola Run, mainstream as it is, is still better.

Zusje ("Little Sister") was pretty good.
