    Evening all,
I want to move my NTL cable modem and wireless router downstairs beside my tv. I tried plugging the Cable modem in to the digital tv socket but couldnt get any web page to load.
Would i need to change any ip addresses?
Does the broadband signal always come down the same line as the Digital TV signal?

    Any advice?
    Cheers
    Wavey

make sure you are connecting the cable to the TV side of the socket & not the FM side
do the (assuming it's the silver modem) SYNC & RDY lights stay on?

also that point may not be [currently] capable of supporting the modem - best to call them on 1800 924424 tomorrow and tell them you're having probs moving modem to another room
they can check if the modem is online etc

they won't help with the wireless side of things tho
