Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It seems 4 clubs, 3 from the premiership and 1 from spain, are after Andy Reid.

I'm guessing the 3 are from Villa, Charlton, Birmingham and Spurs but I can't imagine who the spanish club are.

Maybe the team Harte is playing for.

I think Spain might suit Reid's game.

Few rumours on a couple of Forest forums that he is signing for Everton

    £3.8m deal+£500,000 after 40 games+10%of any future transfer.

probably crap though like 99% of these rumours

Saw that and its very puzzling, Everton don't play a game that would suit Reid imho although Moyes ha smoney to spend.

After all, Everton already have Kilbane ;)

If they pay that they're welcome to him.

I've said before that £4 million upfront is too much for a player in his position, if they were to wait until the summer they'd get him for his wages plus a mirror and some shiny beads.

That 10% of any future transfer can be a kick in the balls as well, didn't Soton have to hand over 25% of the Beattie fee to Blackburn? Its not something I'd be adding in on top of the cash+appearances.

Good for him! Better late than never. I dont think his weight is much of an issue as whoever he goes to will have it sorted by the start of next season. also, i think that he'd be better off staying in England and maybe going with the spurs offer (if they are indeed one of the three). I hope he's let go by forest this time. they are having a disaster of a season. I read that forest will only let him go if its benificial to the club! I cant see his sale bein of any benefit to forest tbh so lets hope thats all talk. or someone spends loads for him!!

Would rather see him go to Everton....I think Moyes will do a great job wit him.....will prob be only a fringe player with Spurs!!! they have a very big squad at the moment!!

Forest should sell...if they wait till the end of season then they will prob be after getting relagated and will have to sell then for less money!!

My guess would be the teams are Spurs (cert), Soton (cert), Everton and probably Valencia. I don't know if Valencia are in need of a left winger but Ranieri said recently that having Robben in the Chelsea team is like having two Duff's. He seems to like his tricky wingers.

unless Ranieri wants him for the right side he's not going there , as theres no way he would start ahead of Vicente(best skin and cross player in the world) .

Did Sevilla ever proberly replace Reyes ? , id love to see Reid go to Spain and develop the technical side of his game much better than if he was in England .

Our current options on the right:

Ricketts - operates in headless chicken mode too often, will never make the grade.
Davies - perpetually injured, looks like his best years are behind him already which is a pity. The new Nick Barmby.
Marney - too young, too inexperienced. Two goals against Everton aside, he's one for the future not one for now.

Other than that there's Carrick, Brown, Mendes and Davis. None of them are comfortable or effective on the right.

Reid would be starting XI if he signed.

Dont tink Ricketts should be mentioned in a thread when we are talking about decent players!! he is useless!! I think you signed him from Arsenal and when he scored against Coventry last season from about 25yards the commentator was going on about Arsenal had lost a good player!! who is having the last laugh?????? (tink it was Arsenal he said)

Has anyone actually made a confirmed bid??? nearly a year now Spurs are supposed to be signing him but still nothing!! longest ever transfer?? me thinks so!!

Nobody TBH, we got him on a free and he's only a squad player so we're not paying him a fortune.

    ;)
