It seems to be fairly non existant right now...I've just connected up my old modem again and am gonna see if there's any one on irc.....will go back active if I ever get a proper net connection.

Btw, get fuhquake from http://equake.quakeworld.nu for 32 bit textures etc etc

Not much being played in Ireland but still loads of servers out there in Europe and plenty of players still playing. I'm still active anyway now that i've got the broadband

Huge amounts of lag, rocket smoke hanging in the air for 3-5s, just slowness.

Anyone got a link to a definitive list of servers?

Use ASE Trojan.

I played a few games on quake.dm4.uk and a few duels vs Vinnit last week but it was worse than modem in terms of lag....gonna have to find yet another way online!

The All seeing eye is a program which allows you to find servers in almost any game. Also, if you want to find people to play, use the .qw message bots, join #qw.ie and send out a message like ".qw anyone want a duel, come to games5.iol.ie" and people will join that server....
