Hi, my boss just told me that I'm gonna be gettin' a new van and he asked me did I have any preferences. Just wondering if anybody had any thoughts on the matter. I don't need to carry much, i.e. I drive an escort van at the mo.

    Thanks

If you don't need it for moving stuff around maybe you should look at something in the shape of a car van. Take a look at the Peug 206/307 van, the Toyota Corolla, the old model Ford Focus is still available as a car van. All the above come with modern diesel technology, are based on cars rather than the standard box on wheels and come with most creature comforts such as electric windows cd player and central locking. Light years ahead of the Escort you have.

If you find you may need an above average loading bay then your best choice may be to go a bit bigger to say a Ford Transit Connect, Seat Inca, VW Caddy or Peug/Citreon Expert/Dispatch.

I would tell him that I needed a VW Caddy - the coolest mid size van on the market IMO. :D

What about an Mg Express, Its a van version of the Zr,1.4 or a 1.8 vvc petroil or a 2lt turbo diesel.

    Pick of Mg Express

How about a MB 5cyl-TDI. Looks a lot more respectable than those Ford/VW car/vans that the P7T use.

Toyota Landcruiser "vans" would be anouther nice choice.... if someone else is buying.

Get a full size van but with an extra row of seats, they could come in handy some day

They sure would, but unfortunately I don't think employers really care about my personal comfort. VW Caddy van looks pretty good. Really like the sliding side doors. They'll probably tell me they've bought a 1998 Ford Transit, rusty as hell. Hopefully I can convince them about the Caddy.

    Thanks for the response guys
