Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Benchmarking

    I'd be on for running a benchmarking contest if anyone's interested.

    I'd say 3DMark and some sort of CPU-intensive one should be best.

    Anyone care to suggest? Cross-platform benches would be particularly interesting.

    I predict the winner to be falcon. he just bought an AMD64 3700 and an X800xt :|

    Oh, and super pi would be the best one for PC :) calculates Pi to one meg in size, quickest PC to do it wins :) I think mine does it in 50sec's.

    Something that is also multithreaded would be nice.

    SMP machines aren't really all that rare.

    Robert, your sig is waaaaay out of bounds.

    structure it horizontally, and use size=1 or size=0 tags to reduce the font.

    it should be done in 2 classed 32 and 64 bit
    give the people with normal pcs a chance :D

    should run super pi
    and 3d mark 03
    and get the scores and average them
    highest average wins

    so a great gfx card cant win alone
    or a fast processer cant eather

    ull have to have a good all rounder
