Shamardal could go for the US Triple Crown !!!!

    So Shamardal might be heading to run the US triple crown... Does he have a chance of winning it? In theory yes...Here is why.

    He is a son of Giants Causeway who ran all of his races in europe on the grass and what a horse he was. He ran 1 single race on the dirt and that was 2000 Breeders cup classic. Have any of you seen that race? Jesus it was hair raising. His only run on the dirt and he beat Fusaichi Pegasus (Kentucky Derby winner) lemon drop kid, albert the great etc... He came within an inch of beating tiznow (who won it the next year aswell beating sakhee) It was probably one of my favorite races. Mick Kinane had to switch he's whip hand in the last few hundred metres and that could have been why the horse went down by a head.

    Shamardals dam is a horse called Helsinki, Who just happens to be a full sister to Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry...The richest race in the world and that was on the dirt..(They are both out of Helen Street as far as i can remember who won an oaks in europe)

    So he's immediate lineage makes him a TOP contender for it and it seems likely that he will take to the dirt like a dug to water...We hope.
