Motorstore bargains

    Motorstore in blanchardstown is being taken over by halfords and they're selling off all their remaining stock at 1/2 price. Most of the stuff is gone but there were still plenty of bits and pieces there today eg polish, wax, tools (screwdrivers, pliers, teng sockets etc.) The shop was always overpriced but now that everything is 1/2 price the stuff is an OK bargain. I got a Haynes manual for the Renault Megane for 15 quid, not too bad. A few other manuls left too. They also have a good book explaining the NCT test in detail, 7 quid, also 5 gallon containers of antifreeze and auto tramission fluid.

    Should have said Motorway, not Motorstore. Always got the two mixed up. Motorstore was in Liffey valley, I think it is becoming a Halfords too.

    But yeah, the guys working in those shops are generally clueless. Teh shops are like the motoring equivalent of PC World :) Hopefully this will improve when Halfords take over.
