Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Quite simple really. Following on from the who'll be relegated from the Prem thread, how many points do you think will guarantee safety this season?

    I'm going for 35.

With so many poor sides down there , id have picked 32 if I could , but I went for 33 as the closest option .

Premiership's 17th-placed teams over the years

    1995-96: Southampton 41 pts
    1996-97: Coventry 41pts
1997-98: Everton 40 pts (stayed up on goal difference)
    1998-99: Southampton 41 pts
    1999-00: Bradford 36 pts
    2000-01: Derby 42 pts
    2001-02: Sunderland 40 pts
    2002-03: Bolton 44 pts
    2003-04: Everton 39 pts

I am surprised the points for the 17th place teams have been so high!!!!

Interesting discussion on who will stay up http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/4201751.stm

Methinks its a repeat of 99/00, with Saints pipping Pompey to 17th place. Well one can but dream...
