Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If it's just to share the internet then a 802.11b standard will do you fine.

Have a look in Maplin, PC World, Peats... on komplett.ie..

All you want is a USB 802.11b wireless adapter :)

Same as ciaranfo said for sharing connection and files.

You'll need to setup an 'ad-hoc' network between the two machines, which should be fairly obvious somewhere in the instructions that come with any cards. And then you'll need to run Internet Connection Sharing form one of your machines which I think you'll find under the Network Connections section of Control Panel.

well if the files are big u might wanna consider an a/g card for ur pc(faster speed, more expensive).... rather than an ad-hoc network u could plug in an ap(if ur pc has a spare network connection all the better).....ad-hoc networks can be iffy at the best of times imo
