DVD+RW problem

    hey,
    anyone any idea why after i've installed a replacement DVD+RW drive into my PC that it shows up in device manager as DVD+RW, but in My Computer as DVD/CD-RW.... its not recogniaing blank DVDs at all, its acting like a dvd/cd-rw drive? Much love for any ideas?

    Did you install drivers from CD/Web, or did you let windows auto detect?

    uninstall and reinstall any burning software youve got..

    What version of windows you got??? what brand/model is the new drive??
