Tourists mistake circus tent for Dome

LONDON: A group of Japanese tourists has mistaken Billy Smart's Circus big top for the Millennium Dome.
En route by bus to the Dome in Greenwich, the five Japanese visitors hopped off in nearby Blackheath when they saw the lights of the circus tent.
The group paid admission money and it was only two hours later when they asked to see the Body Zone that circus officials realised the mistake.
"Our lights were shining through the gloom of a wet afternoon and the tourists thought we were the Dome," said a circus spokesman.
He went on: "They seemed to have good time and emerged eating candy floss. Their only comment was that they expected the Dome to be a little bigger."
