Could someone recommend some artists or cds that would make a good place to start for someone like me who knows virtually nothing about Sean Nos but would like to learn? Thanks a million.... Shiv

the only sean nós singer i can think of off hand is Iarla Ó Lionaird. he's probably one of the best known sean nós singers, and he sings with the afro celts sometimes. you could try and start yourself off with a band like altan, who use a fair bit of sean nós singing, and would be a nice introduction to it.
