Why not listen to the Holy Bible by the Manic Street Preachers? As you talk about "angry", I think you should look at some erudite interpretations.

Then you could learn an awful lot about a very important piece of history.

The Manic Street preachers do nothing for me anger wise. I like that album but it's not really my cup of tea for when I'm angry, I prefer heavier stuff.

    Thanks though.

No. But I don't find it heavy either.

    Go figure.

At The Gates - Slaughter Of The Soul. Just borrowed it the other day and can't stop listening to it. Also try Hate Crew Deathroll by Children Of Bodom.

If all else fails, get some Limp Bizkit and stick up your middle finger like you don't give a ****. 24/7 never begging for a raincheck! Muhahahahaha

How about the entire album Hate Them by Darkthrone.
Nice angry album to listen to.

Angry? I'm not a big screamo fan at all, but Poison the Well fit the angry bill quite nicely. If you're not very sensitive to noisy stuff, Eyehategod are good too.

Swans - Public Castration Is A Good Idea

You know Michael Gira wasn't in a good mood when he named that album...

At The Gates - Slaughter Of The Soul
Metal Hammer are giving this song away on a CD on their latest issue. Good stuff, innit?
    My angry choices would be:
American Head Charge - Violent Reaction
AMEN - Down Human or (definitely) Ungrateful Dead
Strapping Young Lad - All hail the new flesh
    Downthesun - Enslaved
    Entombed - Flexing Muscles
    Mudvayne - Dig
Pantera - Walk (live) or Fukking Hostile
    Pi$$ing Razors - Dodging Bullets

personally, i always find some brutal death metal to do the trick :D
for now i think Quo Vadis's new Defiant Imagination does the trick for me. ( you can get 2 of the new tracks from http://www.quovadis.qc.ca/eng/mp3.html ). well worth the listen, and has two tribute songs to Death's Late Chuck Schuldiner.

A harmonious blend of Ministry and Atari Teenage Riot usually does it for me. Maybe with some of Fear Factory's heavier stuff mixed in to boot.

Any Regurgitate album, some Soulfly, and finish with Sepultura's Roots and Nirvana's Tourette's .

Immortal - Sons of Northern Darkness.

    And I quote:
    BLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Great fúcking album. Never ceases to get me going.

    1 song..........

    Slipknot - Eeyore
    secret track on their self-titled

pinched harmonics at the beginning are terrifying
downpicking, tremolo picking, sweep picking are all unbelievable fast

but then again its slipknot.... they cant play

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,480 ✭✭✭projectmayhem

i was going to give the same suggestion as the post above...

instead, why not just listen to the entire self-titled slipknot album? pure rage, distilled in a compact cd

  • Registered Users Posts: 89 ✭✭derrylahan

nah not the entire self titled
iowa is more intense, angier, and heavier
    but its prob too intense.....
anger + iowa = glass needing replacement

fear factory - archetype...nothing like that double bass to calm an angry heart...;)
"nothing you say, matters to us, f*ck youuuuu"

morbid angel or ektomorf i find quite suitable too...
