Should be some limits on it though - how about max 5 games - minimum odds 10-1?

Might help to avoid the advice on bet utd/che/rangers/celtic/juve bets.....

Change of plan, first bet for Tuesday night's Prem action:

    Portsmouth v Middlesbrough Portsmouth @ 6 - 4

    West Brom v Crystal Palace West Brom @ 5 - 4

    Bolton v Tottenham Draw @ 11 - 5

    Charlton v Liverpool Charlton @ 9 - 5

    €5 accumulator = €252 return.
    30c Lucky 15 = €54.16 return.

Anyone pick the obvious correct score 50/1 double last night?

    Everton 1 Norwich 0
    Blackburn 0 Chelsea 1

    Me neither :(

Ok - here we go - easy 5x home wins - odds confirmed through paddypower.com

10-1 on this, all home wins

    1 Liverpool to beat fulham

2 Man Utd to beat Birmingham

    3 Southampton to beat everton

4 Chelsea to beat Man City (boooo!!!!)

    5 Newcastle to beat Charlton

Pool and Man U I think will win their matches no prob, Southampton seem to have found their feet and Everton have GOT to slip at some stage, Chelsea although playing poorly I fear will be too much for City, particularly with their only defeat this season suffered at City's ground they'll be fired up to beat them - Newcastle although flaky have Shearer back and Charlton aren't great away.

    €5 gets u an easy €50 (I hope!)

I'd fancy everton to beat southampton

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,333 ✭✭✭Dr Bolouswki

nice bet joe - this sticky is for posting proposed bets, not blowing cold air on what others are offering - everton 4th - southampton 17th.... it really takes a gambling genius to fancy everton.. by all means post an alternative bet giving 10-1.... hopefully people will have learned by then and won't post inane one-liners debunking one of your predictions....

A couple of hopefuls more than anything:

    €5 Accumulator @ 48-1.

    Wolves v Sunderland: Draw 11 - 5 (win)
    Burnley v Leeds: Draw 9 - 4
    Newcastle v Charlton: Newcastle 4 - 5
    Tottenham v Portsmouth: Tottenham 4 - 6
    Reading v Plymouth: Reading 4 - 7

    €2.50 Accumulator @ 22-1.

    Crystal Palace v Bolton: Bolton 17 - 10
    Liverpool v Fulham: Liverpool 1 - 2
    Newcastle v Charlton: Newcastle 4 - 5
    Norwich v West Brom: West Brom 11 - 5

Blackburn to win at Middlesboro at 4/1 is a good bet. Middlesboro are without 3 centre halfs, Viduka, Zenden, Boateng and Hasselbaink is a major doubt. They are yet to win in 2005.

Im also thinking about putting e50 on Liverpool today. They better beat Fulham.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

Fulham have odds of around 7/1 a much better bet imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,333 ✭✭✭Dr Bolouswki

City 9-1 to beat Chelsea... City already beat them this season... Chelsea without the talismanic Robben.... Hmmmm.....

    Nah.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,333 ✭✭✭Dr Bolouswki

    Fulham v Derby County
    Fulham @ 8 - 13

    Tottenham v West Brom
    Tottenham @ 8 - 15

    Blackburn v Norwich
    Blackburn @ 8 - 11

    Portsmouth v Aston Villa
    Portsmouth @ 5 - 4

    Arsenal v Crystal Palace
    Arsenal @ 1 - 5

All that said, my bet of the day is Everton to beat Chelsea - wild odds of 4-1!!!!!

Didn't get a chance to post any of these...

Had €40 on Spurs at 1-2.
Had €25 on ManYoo at 8-11.
Had €5 accumulator on Milan, Juve, Real, and Inter all to win.

Won €75, which goes along way towards replenishing the fighting fund.

Now, Herenveen to beat Newcastle in the UEFA Cup available at 2-1...

Now, Herenveen to beat Newcastle in the UEFA Cup available at 2-1...

I've been bitten. €20 on Herenveen to win, Toon Army are missing Butt and Dyer.

    Also, for the weekend...

    Bolton v Fulham - Bolton 5 - 6
    Newcastle v Chelsea - Chelsea 10 - 11
    Reading v Coventry - Reading 4 - 7
West Ham v Plymouth - West Ham 4-7

€10 down returns €90 odd, Paddy Power.

A colleague at work lost €1000 this weekend on the footy, so when he asked me did I think he should throw €200 on Newcastle to win today in an effort to claw back his losses I told him not to bother as Newcastle hadn't a hope... :D

He won't have been happy with teh Old Firm, think he's €200 on Celtic to win...

    I've done a 10 yo-yo accum :

    Werder @ 1/1

Will return 92 , if it comes up !!

I had Real and Liverpool to win last night, combined with ManYoo and Barca to win, and Port-Inter as a draw.

    €5 down wins me €300.

Hard luck , seems I was well off too.

I thought Bremen would have been better than that at home. As for United , where do I begin . Sickened , very poor performance , I was excited at the prospect of Silvestre rescuing the game for us (Yeah right) and Giggs was sh1te all night

Any News on Who'll be available to play for Arsenal at the weekend. IF they are still short of 1st team players added to the fact that the players who played last night must be knackered then maybe 17/2 for Portsmouth to beat them this weekend might be worth taking a risk on, or 7/2 on the draw at least.

March 5/6 Willie the Wimp's bet: A WHOPPER!!
    .................................................................................
Willie has really gotten desperate after a lean enough couple of months so he's expecting to bring the family on a holiday, go to the Chelsea Barcelona return leg at an extortionate ticket price - and pay for the new kitchen with this one.

    Norwich v Chelsea 2
    Crystal Palace v ManU 2
    Monaco v Metz 1
    Atalanta v AC Milan 2
    Sampdoria v Chievo 1
    Betis v Getafe 1
    Espanyol v Levante 1
good grief! Odds 20.0 (19/1 Old Money) in gamebookers dropdown menu!

    or...

The Ultra SAFE version: Monaco, Sampdoria, Betis & Espanyol 5.81 gamebookers (about 5/1)

    gamebookers.ie

Go to the soccer dropdown menu ...Willie the Wimps bet is there as a special!

From gamebookers.ie Via Dangerhere, If your feeling brave or lucky a Tenner at 19/1 would pay out nicely. Can't see Chelsea or United losing these 2 away games or even drawing for that matter.

Have €5 on the following accumulator:

    Frankfurt - WON (1-0)
    Sampdoria - WON (1-0)
Betis - currently drawing 1-1, went 1-0 down.
    Hertha - just kicked off
    Bilbao - 6.00 kickoff

9 goals in the first 30 minutes of 5 La Liga matches. A lot different than the premiership. :) Edu should have scored. :(

    Prediction for tonights score, Man Utd 1 - 1 A.C. Milan - 11/2. I think it's a great bet for a few reasons.

    1. Milan are unlikely to win.
    2. There aren't like to be many goals.

That leaves only a few realistic possibilities. I've got a fiver on it.

Was having a browse on gamebookers before I go home to do my weekend picks and I see they are offering the best price on Ireland for WC qualifying 16/7 and also guareented unitll the end of the season best 1st goalscorer odds on Robbie Keane, Damien Duff and Clinton Morrison, if you find better odds elsewhere they will beat them. Interesting :)

On paddypower's soccer coupon they always offer an accum (usually about 28-1) of picking 3 matches and predicting how many goals will be scored...i.e. 0-1, 2-3, and beyond...

My advice this weekend is to pick the relegation dogfights to be goalfests...they always are this time of year.

    Palace V Southampton
    Norwich V Birmingham
    and also Boro V Spurs

An accum of 2-3 goals will pay nicely on the above.

Some betting with the heart here:

A Souness inspired Newcastle to win at an erratic Everton today, thus doing his old club a favour.

Then on the back of the Everton defeat Liverpool to complete the double over Arsenal at Highbury tomorrow as all the players are on a high following Tuesday.

It can be got at 25/1.

Well Heres something interesting for all you Liverpool fans the Odds for the Champions league final from gamebookers.ie, I had a look on Oddschecker and the next best price on Liverpool is only 6/4 with PP and a slew of other bookies.
I can't see this price holding until near the final as its bound to be heavily backed. Much as I don't want the Pool to win this one I think I'll stick a few bob on to easy the pain if they do!! ;)

    16/17 AC MILAN 13/6 LIVERPOOL 3/1

Keano - Paddy Power's price of 6/4 is to win the CL. I assume the gamebookers odds are only over the 90 minutes.

God damn it you know your right, I was looking on the wrong page on Oddschecker, I need coffee, good job its nearly lunchtime. Still I think if you can get 3/1 over the 90 minutes now its pretty good, As the match day gets close more people will back Liverpool and the price will definately shorten.

Gamebookers have a free €5 1st goalscorer bet offer on the CL final, if you bet €5 on a first goalscorer and lose you get your fiver back if you win you win! So I stuck it on Kewell at 12/1, I can't lose even though he pobably won't score
