seems ole Vlad the Put has as many spies in the US as the old Soviet Union did.

Time Magazine just reported that one of their Irish Agents has been arrested and will be in court soon .

At Los Angeles International Airport two weeks ago, FBI agents arrested an Irish businessman they had spent a week tailing all over California's Silicon Valley, from the offices of two electronics manufacturers in Sunnyvale to a hotel in Mountain View and down a quiet cul-de-sac to a suburban house in San Jose. The technology exporter, according to court papers, had purchased sophisticated computer components in the U.S. to send to Russia through Ireland.

Contrary to what most people believe, the end of the Cold War did not mean the end of spying.

Made the news this morning - names and all. Though it looks like some technology transfer issues rather than a bona fide illegal. ;)

Shame on those Irish people who would help a genocidal government like Putin's.

You'd be surprised at some Irish Business 'names' who are either persona non grata in the US or wanted by the FBI for technology transfer ' issues ' and never ever travel to the States . :)

Considering the kind of work I did in a past life, no I probably wouldn't. ;) There were people working here in Ireland selling gear to the Soviets. Ireland was fairly important to both sides as regards hi-tech espionage during the Cold War.

Well, the law is technical afterall. There are a variety of groups that control technology transfer from the west to the "enemies".
