audioscrobber question

ok I have had the audioscrobber plugin installed on winamp yet it doesnt seem to be submitting the songs that i play to the site

anyone know what the correct configuration is for the plugin to do what its supposed to

All you have to do with the plugin is type your username and password.

Audioscrobbler isn't great at updating. Used to do it every so many songs you played. Number of songs it took to update increased as your play count increased. But now it does it every so many days. Doesn't seem to have a fixed interval. Give it a week, should have updated by then.

yeah, they have introduced a load balancing.. system thing, subscribers get more server priority. and us freeloaders get put to the back, I don't mind.. works out in the end and I'll contribute when I have the money

how do i get it to accept the 954 songs that it has logged they are not showing up on my profile.

Give it a week, should have updated by then.

has been doing this since i signed up for audioscrober before christmas

my profile still says zero songs played

It stores files in the cache when it can't connect to the internet. Is there a firewall blocking it maybe?

BTW how do you get into properties? I've never been able to find it.

right click on the winamp player
select options from the menu
then select preferences from the sub menu
open up the media library tab on the left of the
double click on the audioscrobber plug in on the list that appears on the right

The audioscrobbler doesn't show up in the plugin list. The list is empty. The plugin still works for me though.

What version of Winamp do you have? and do you have the latest version of the plugin v1.1.8? Maybe try reinstalling it.

winamp and plugins are latest versions

the plug in is in the library section of the preferences window

just one more question. the artist and title tags are filled in correctly on one of my songs but it is comming up as ??????????

I came across a line in audioscrobbler only today ( when i joined the boards.ie group ) that told me when it was being updated next....

keep an eye out....

it seems to be down for the moment though
