I'm on the look out for VW Golf Throttle Body

Anyone know where I'd get a second hand/relatively new Throttle Body for a 1.6 Golf (Part no. 06A133064 J). Mechanic diagnosed the problem as it being fcuked. The same one can be found in all pre 2000 AUDI/VW/SKODA engines. Tried Traynors up North and most scrap dealers around the country but unsuccessfully. The car is beginning to rev like a beeeeatch!!! Anyone know anyone scrapping this engine type or has recently wrote off a car/engine of this type so I can salvage it.
VW charge an extortionist price of €340 hence why I need to go second hand!!!

I like that , his diagnostic equipment displayed short message with error code

in German
PF- kaputt

in English
PF- properly fcuked

which was later translated by local mechanic to

Engine is Langered

Anyway, is this plastick Throttle Body as seen on 1.4 versions?

340 isnt too bad actually. mercedes charge 2200 euros for their 2.8+engines. i believe they are repairable see here http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1116399

be very careful cleaning it, as u might screw it up if the fluid runs into the servo. if this does not fix it try a large vw specialist in the uk. i cant remember their name the one i dealt with but they will have one.

P1582 - 35-00 - -

i should mention if urs is non cruise controlled then it is unlikely to be a digitally controlled one and therefore it is unlikely that a cable operated one is defective other than dirty. more info can be found on uk-mkivs.net

Alternatively, try repairing it... afterall it is phukked..... so nothing much to loose.
I figure the feedback part of the assy is not functioning properly and cleaning it with acetone/alochol may sort it out. also, check the connectors for corroded or broken wires and contacts.

However, I'd also see if motor factors offer exchange re-built units for a reasonable price.
