eircom blocking winmx?

    hi all.
    i can't seem to get any connections to upload or download with winmx recently. it just keeps saying "waiting for network reply" and they time out.

    i have a netgear dg834 router and it is set for mx port forwarding (also software f/w forwarding too). this is just resent. i didn't change any settings.

    anyone else getting this?

    You tried connecting to it without the router, i.e. modem straight to PC ?

    the router is an "adsl modem/router/firewall/switch"

    i've done a little tweaking by changing port numbers (and of course forwarding the new port numbers) with no success downloading.
    but i am now able to upload because i added a sh*t load of files to the shared folder.

    i'm now back at 6699tcp and 6257udp, but no downloading.
    i dunno.
