Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

About to leave us this Thursday
This Thursday will be the final chance to see the amazing surfing documentary RIDING GIANTS. Director Stacy Peralta's previous film DOGTOWN AND Z-BOYS gave us the lowdown on the world of skateboarding. RIDING GIANTS beautifully captures the comradeship and community of surfing, it's characters and foibles in a hugely entertaining film well worth seeing, don't not miss the final performance of RIDING GIANTS on Thursday at 4:30pm.

From this Friday we are delighted to present 2046, the latest film from director Wong Kar-Wai. Tony Leung plays Chow Mo-Wan, a womaniser who finds himself down on his luck in 1960s Hong Kong. For money he has began writing several pulp fiction stories which remind him of previous lovers; each relationship is different, and with his writing Chow explores and re-examines his past. Elegantly shot by Christopher Doyle with music composed by Peer Raben (who scored most of RW Fassbinder's films), 2046 has been in production for five years and is Wong's most anticipated work. Following such masterpieces as CHUNGKING EXPRESS and IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, Wong Kar-Wai's 2046 is not to be missed and opens from Friday.

A VERY LONG ENGAGEMENT is Jean-Pierre Jeunet's follow-up to his immensely successful AMELIE is a flamboyant mixture of battlefront spectacle, home front romance, revenge drama and detective story. Audrey Tautou again takes up the lead role in this romantic love story which the Rolling Stone called "an emotional powerhouse...stunning?.
Hugely popular at the Cork Film Festival last year was the music documentary THE RAMONES: END OF THE CENTURY. It traces the story of the infamous New York band whose violently new and raw sound reinvented the rock genre. Catch this snapshot of the 70s NYC punk scene at 4:30 each day from Friday.
