In an interesting article on Briadband on the BBC's Working Lunch program it was revealled that BB had overtaken dialup as the way in which people in the UK connect to the internet. The article also highlight's a survey carried out by Which that shows people are generally happy with the service they get but
"Certainly people are really happy with the reliability, ease and speed of broadband," says Jenni Conti of Which?.

"There were a couple of areas where they were less happy, for example value for money as it is still quite expensive.

"They also felt that technical support was not up to scratch," adds Jenni.

The aritcle also highlights the fact that the UK is below the EU average for BB penetration, and suggests Tony Blair will be disappointed by this news. Ireland is shown as having a 2% penetration rate.

The website version of the article can be found here

Note that on the top right of the page is a link where you can view the actual program, the BB piece is around the 22:40 mark.

    Enjoy
