Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. I think he's over rated, a whinger, diver and cheat. He causes havoc with teammates and believes he's above everyone else.

Probably fit in well at Liverpool, they have a history of signing prima donnas who think they're better than everybody else!

Seriously though, who would want him and his associated baggage. Can't see Arsenal, Utd or Chelsea being interested. He wouldn't go to Newcastle (far too cold) so apart from Liverpool or maybe Spurs..

He'll want Champions League football and Spurs are a bit away from that at the moment, so that leaves Liverpool, but they've no cash so.........

Interesting.... probably somewhere like Birmingham or Middlesbrough?

Not sure his style will adapt to Premiership football

I think it will be Spurs - can't see LFC being interested, nor the big three (there, I said it, the big three).

I'm inviting trouble here but can you name me a few? Naturally Paul Ince or Nick Anelka won't be included in your answer because they've played for other premiership teams, so the fact Pool had them doesn't highlight anything significant...

I'd say if anywhere he'd go to Newcastle. No one else would really be interested apart from the smaller clubs.

It says a lot for how poor of a unit Liverpool are these days that almost every foreign misfit past his glory days "would fit nicely into the Liverpool side...."

Deep breaths and let it go P Pete.

He's overrated and too old to play in the Premiership . He would be kicked off the pitch , he wont go. If He does I think he will go to highbury in a swap deal for Reyes who is rumoured to be very unhappy on and off the pitch.

    Well said that man!

Classic Figo moment was when he left the pitch in the Euro 2000 semi v. France before the spotter had been taken.

He's not fit to lace Keano's boots. Then again, who is...

Er, Iago do you have a thing against all wingers? He has been one of the best players in the world, from an attacking perspective for years now. He has consistently torn teams apart. I'm just wondering, cos you give out about Ronaldo too, despite he and Giggs tearing Arsenal apart in a 20 minute spell the other night. Wingers are always slightly inconsistent, but to be honest Figo is about the most consistent out there, and imho probably about the best winger in the game right now - still.

Maybe if Everton hang onto that CL spot they could spend some more of that Roony/Graveson money. Would be a good signing for a club like that.

I've nothing against wingers in general. I believe that Giggs has been one of the best players in the world for the last 10 years and barring some bad form over the last couple of seasons has been very consistent.

he's been exceptional this season and I just hope that if and when Utd sort out his contract he'll continue to play as well as he is now and not slip back into the bad form he's been exhibiting over the last 18 months.

Ronaldo is my current pet hate at the moment in the Utd team, he has the ability and potential to be one of the greatest players in the world but time and again this season he has been frustrating. At first I put it down to his inability, through bad luck as well as bad decisions, to score for Utd. He was getting more and more frustrated and you could see it in his play. Football is a simple game, lay the ball off and move into a position where you can get it back. I just think that Ronaldo is making the wrong decision far too often, when he should pass he's going alone, when he should go alone he's trying to pass. I'm sure he'll come good in time he's just very frustrating at the moment. even in the game against Arsenal he was annonymous apart from his two goals. The first he took really well, the second he showed great determination to get there but couldn't really miss once he did. Compare that to giggs who was involved in every Utd move of note and did his fair share of chasing back as well.

I just don't like Figo as a player, I think he peaked about 4 years ago and hasn't done much since. He believes that teams should be built around him and he's a cheat on the football pitch, if anybody so much as breathes on him he's falling over like he's been shot. There's no doubt that he has a huge amount of natural talent but for me that's not enough to get past his constant whinging, cheating and petulance. I think he will bring more problems than he solves to any team that buys him..

Spurs are in need of a right winger and they're in better shape than Newcaslte atm and catching up with Liverpool fast.

I agree with this. Iago do you watch much spanish football? Figo is often the best player for madrid and for portugal. He was brilliant last season. He's the best crosser of the ball in europe and he has fantastic dribbling ability. He's also one of the few players for madrid who gives it all for the team. I agree he does go down way too easily but most players in spain do. This might cause him a problem in england but i reckon hes strong enough for the more physical premiership.

Figo is very friendly with Carlos Queiroz, so a move to Man U could not be entirely out of the question. Fergie has been linked with him a couple of times over the years.

Lets assume that Giggs does not get his 2 year contract, and leaves for some italian club, well figo would be an ok short time place replacement. TBH though, I would much sooner Giggs get his 2 year contract than bringing in a player who as was pointed out earlier would only be interested in a final big payday.

I think Leonard may have a point, Carlos Queiroz and Figo have a friendly and share many connections. I have also heard it mentioned that Del Piero is making 'Come and get me' noises.
