Skangers

Most people have not seen Dublin until they crossed the path of at least one skanger. It is hard to goto town without hearing the words "wat youe lukin ahh". This dialect may seem foreign to some people at the begining but it all comes part and parcel with the skanger.

Apperance

Most skangers are recognizable by there phyisical apperance. The women usually have quite a number of rings as do boys, most of which are soveregin rings in both case, although the claddagh ring may be second choice. Women seem to adore the claddagh logo and symbol which is why they try and wear it on any available jewerly area on there body. The earrings are large ones (usually gold) with the claddagh hand and heart ever so present. The 'boyez' wish not to wear earrings although some cases have been recorded of boys with studs.

The clothes which they wear are so common that 1 out of 3 shops are bound to have all the items required. The boys wish to wear tight jeans usually blue if not jeans tracksuit bottoms. The requirment for tracksuit bottoms are to have a big company sorts label, Nike, Adidas and Reebok are all acceptable types. For the women the bottoms of choice are also jeans either cream or blue will do as long as there tight.

Runners are chosen always as the footwear for boys and usually for girls. Once again any big name sports labels will do (examples given eariler). The most chosen runner is the Adidas 3 Stripe or Reebok Classic, this is always a big must to be a skanger. The laces are untied and the tounge of the shoe visable as the jeans go behind the tounge. The untied lace are tucked in the shoe to prevent from tripping as tripping up would look stupid. The slack on the shoes are determened by the sole as the skanger walks. The sole should stay on the ground as the person puts there weight on the toe of the shoe to change the inactive foot.The girls sometimes wear "whore" boots which are technically known as wedge boots. They are high healed boots which usually go upto the knees.

The jumpers are quite varible ranging from Nike tops to Polo Sport. The jackets are usually light big sports label company ones or a heavy Scanda jacket, the ones which usually hold a flease inside.

The hair for most boys is a usual cut, short at the sides and top with an abnormally increased usage of gel. The other cut of choice is the skinhead. The girls usually keep there hair long with a fringe. A hat is sometimes worn. If the cap is worn it is tilted back to its limit on the back of the head. The other had would 'wolly' hat.

Language

The accent and language which skangers speak if very much like english but with a few replaced words and slightly diffrent pronounced words. There accent is harsh and almost makes them instantly recognizable. T's are not pronouced instead it is usually replaced with a h. An example: Water becomes Waher. The most common sentence is probably "Aill ruy buz, watz da storie" which translated is "All right buds, whats the story". This dialect is indeed diffrent from english but it is quite understandable when it has been familiarized with. A few examples of word replacements are;

Blow = Hash ; Burd(Bird) = Girl ; Bud = Friend ;

Old Man/Lady = Father/Mother ; Im Scarlet = Im Embarrased ; Muppet = Fool/Stupid

Other Quailities

The most used method of transportation is the moped. It is used widely as the age limit to use one is 16. Some skangers like to think there big and strong because they drive and try and show off which results in them crashing which is some ways is halarious.

Once every so often they gather together in groups to go on social outing which is called knacker drinking. This is where they buy some cheap larger 9 our of 10 times 'Dutch Gold' which is only drank by underage drinkers and alcoholics due to its flavour and price. A field is also required so that they can talk among themselves.

They usually travel in packs.

not just under age drinkers that drink dutch gold , lots of people (ie students) drink it cuz its cheap, but my guess is you dont have to worry bout money u arrogant piece of donkey turd.
im sure if any "skangers" new how to use a computer they would be starting a thread about the "posh boyz" and "chiefers" that think they are so hot with their polo sport and chinos, but start to cry whenever they are given a clout .

Also, must have an inner string inside which is tied tightly around the waist, while the remainder of the jacket below said string is half-folded under in order to shorten the overall length of the jacket.
