ICV on bmw

hi folks.......again where the hell can i take off this idle control valve and bang it off the ground and spray a can of carb claner into it, i believe thats the reason for the idle and stalling at lights....not damn nice.! peace. ezza 94 316i

See http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=CG11&mospid=47451&prod=19940200&btnr=13_0390&hg=13&fg=15 for a pic. The ICV is a kind of bypass for the main air inlet pipe (#4 in pic) into the engine and in the above linked pic it is item #8.
Under no circumstances bang it on the ground as if you do then don't bother wasting carb cleaner on it!

Just as an aside, I have had many problems with erratic idling on Bimmers. None of them was caused by the icv. All were air leaks. ho hum.
