Not much surprise in the votings

    Starters:
    EASTERN CONFERENCE
F - Vince Carter, New Jersey
    F - Grant Hill, Orlando
    C - Shaquille O'Neal, Miami
    G - Allen Iverson, Philadelphia
    G - LeBron James, Cleveland
    Coach: Stan Van Gundy, Miami

F - Tim Duncan, San Antonio
    F - Kevin Garnett, Minnesota
    C - Yao Ming, Houston
    G - Kobe Bryant, L.A. Lakers
    G - Tracy McGrady, Houston
    Coach: TBD

Would have liked to see Jermaine O'Neil in instead of Grant Hill, but hey.

Lebron all makes the rookie challenge where he lines up with Wade, Anthony and Kirk Hinrich

Starts Feb 20th(rookie game night before)

Even if is, it wont show the full glamour of the weekend. I'd say sky sports will show something, they usually show a game each Sunday around 8pm, nothing compaired to the real thing though :)

Yoa v Shaq should be a good matchup (as it was in Heat v Rockets last week)

The East dont have the big men to compare with Yoa, Garnett and Duncan.

Not that there'll be any real strategy going on

Not a bad lineup for the East. Shaq could be the difference this year as they've been over powered for the past few years in the middle.

As for Jermaine O'Neal, he should be banned for life after his 2003 effort. 4 seconds to go in over time Jordan hits a jump shot from the corner that puts the East up by one. Then O'Neal goes down and fouls Kobe Bryant taking a three. I think Bryant tried to miss them on purpose - he looked like he wanted to bounce one off O'Neals head.

Anyone know if All Star saturday night is on TV?

    Hi,

Sky Sports will undoubtedly show the All-Star game live as part of their NBA coverage. It's on a 8.30pm Eastern Time on the 20th Feb so that translates to 1.30am Sunday night / Monday morning here. Book Monday off from work/college etc.

As for All-Star Saturday etc., they may show a few highlights during their broadcast, but to be honest, the only option is (and has been for me since 1991) Pontel (www.pontel.com). They are the officially licenced distributor for NBA games over here. They do video and DVD. There is a DVD for All-Star Saturday and one for All-Star Sunday. Both will contain full US TV coverage with pre and post game shows and no wacky British interpretations by Sky Sports analysts. Anyway, the DVDs are 13.50 Euro each including postage. Order 4 DVDs and you save 5 Euro. They have DVDs available of all the All-Star Saturdays and Sundays going back to 1984 so I recommend getting both of this year's DVDs plus 1988 All-Star Saturday and Sunday (Held in Chicago - Jordan wins Dunk contest, Bird wins 3 point contest, Jordan scores 40 and wins All-Star game MVP). Those 4 DVDs will cost you 49 Euro delivered.
