Yup Pearl Jam, Ten is pretty good, I prefer Vs. though.

Yield is better than Ten but the grunge era is pretty much 1990-1994 so Yield was after that ....I love the opener....Brain of J

    Pearl Ja-Ten without a doubt.

    Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger.
    Alice in Chain - Dirt.

In Utero is a great album too though, as are Ten and Siamese Dream.

Did you measure that by carbon dating or some other form of radioactive decay?

The Melvins - Houdini. Best thing Kurt Cobain ever put his name to. Pisses all over Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

Alice in Chains 'dirt' or Soundgarden 'Superunknown'

I think Kurt Cobain put his name to alot more wonderful things than the Melvins!...I do love the Melvins though.

    Pearl Jam's Ten or Vs.

Is the Yield album worth getting? The last PJ album I bought was Vitalogy.

I fecking hate the cardboard covers on PJ albums but that's irrelevant now :)

I hate them too Byte, they get shredded to bits by my cd case :(. But yeah Yield is well worth getting. They sort of moved away from grunge by the time it was released so don't expect another Ten or Vs. but it is a brilliant album.

    Ten gets my vote.

Probably Siamese Dream, I wouldn't call it grunge but it came out during that 'era' and a defining album it was too. :)

Other than that, I'd go with Ten.

    Nirvana- Bleach.
    Nirvana- In Utero

Nevermind isn't grunge...it was far too perfected and very pop. Brilliant album of course, but Bleach and In Utero are much more raw and stuff.

Also, Alice in Chains-Dirt and Pearl Jam-Ten

Yep. grunge existed before and after 1990-94 but it was underground before 1990 and it pretty much died with Kurdt, tbh.

Now thats a name I havent heard for a long time... top band,,, not grunge though

Gish is a good album, dont like all the songs on it though, like Siva, I am One, Rhinocerous. Daydream is a bit of a strange song hence D'Arcy is singing on it, i listened to that song over and over the day it was announced she was leaving the band

I dunno if you could consider "Gish" grunge but it's a great album, always a big fan of the Pumpkins. On Nirvana, Bleach over Nevermind or In Utero any day : Love Buzz, what a song!
