Have a search around www.avforums.com and you will find more info about Sky HDTV then you ever wanted to know.

In a nut shell to be Sky complaint you need a TV that had either DVI or HDMI connections that are HDCP complaint.

My 42" LG Plasma has just developed 20+ red and green vertical lines permantly on (it's 1 month old)

I'm really glad I bought it in a local shop. These panels are large and difficult to ship.

It's not just about delivery, make sure you understand 100% what will happen if a fault develops, whether a local (Irish) company will fix/replace it or will it have to be shipped (who arranges and at whose expense).

Sky HDTV is still up in the air, but the best information is that it will support both 720p and 1080i and be mid/late 2006
