    HMV today:-

    25th Hour - €9.99

    The Trial - €7.99

I had never heard of The Trial but I looked at it and saw Anthony Perkinsand Orson Welles. I looked at the back and it seemed interesting. If it's anything like 12 Angry Men or Anatomy Of A Murder I'll be pleased.

Donnie Darko: Director's Cut (2 Disc Edition) for €9.95 in Golden Discs!

Have the Region 1 Donnie Darko from when it was first released... but was interested to see the supposedly somewhat inferior Director's Cut (though only considered so due to the changes in the fantastic music).

Also, the Richard Kelly and Kevin Smith commentary should be good!

This week's great releases were The X-Files Mythology, Vol. 2 - Black Oil and Alexander! Both have awesome bonus features, which are my favorite parts of any DVD!

Are the others straight to dvd B movies?

Yeah, but the quality varies. For example, Skinned Deep is a pathetic horror film with poor camera work, fake gore, shoddy acting etc. Octopus is one of those crap acting but great fx fun movies. Pit fighter is a low budget but extremely well made and grittily realistic underground fighting/mafia movie.

B-Movies they all are, some are great, some are decent, some are brutal, but I love b-movies.... :)

Actually Spartacus and Helen of Troy are big budget TV productions, never meant for cinema but are fairly well made, much Like the Battlestar Galactica mini-series in terms of relative quality...

Speaking of B-Movies, Pit Figher and Alien Lockdown are the best b-movies I've seen to date....
