    Hi,

    I need my table to reference or point to a file online. Is there a MySQL variable for doing this or should I just save the url of the file in this field?

    There doesn't seem to be any data type specifically for pointing at file handles. Best to store the URI in a varchar field.

    Yeah, that's what I was thinking, just wasn't sure if there was a specific data type I should use instead.
