Maybe, but they where still working on the mast late yesterday evening which leaves me to believe it wasn't fixed yet thats why I said maybe tue/wed..anyways... looks like it's still not fixed.

Also a mate of mine had an install this morning in blanch ( Hartstown ) just been off the phone to him and he's having no problems at all,how are all you guys in blanch getting along ?

    Are you home yet? ;)

It's good to know that they're still working on the Ballymun mast - it saves me the bother of trying to contact the support centre in the morning.

Well Blanch still sucks bad downloads. And if it is the case that someone in D15 that close to me is getting good speeds. Then its a case that they are looking after new customers and not their older ones. Its like they give you good service for a few weeks then stick you with a 512 conection. I heard a mate from cabra say the same thing and he was one of their first customers about 18 months ago or so.
Im going ringing around for other service providers as I think IBB are just gona give us the run around. I dont trust them after that time the guy on the phone let it slip that I had a 512 connection when i know im paying for a 1meg. I havent rang them since that as I think its a waste of time ringing them!

is it just me or is the entire network down?

Yesterday it went down for me, and i couldn't access anything. When i got to college today i couldn't access their website, now the website is back up, but i can't ping the tallaght tower.

Anyone got any info before i spend an hour on the phone tonight ringing them?

It looks like Bray is being routed through Tallaght these days and it's been rock solid today. I don't know if that's the same mast that you're on:

I downloaded the zonealarm update at a whopping 35k a second on the 512k line! i was dead impessed! then the connection went to sh**e when i started playing CoH. it took a few minutes to load up boards afterwards that i just turned it off. 35k is the highest i've EVER seen it in the year and a bit i've been with them. i'll do a trace tonight and defo post the results.

    Ballycoolin mast btw

The atrium did go down for a while today and i had really hoped this was it they were going to fix it onece and for all but no speeds still crap. I think they know why its happening I think they are doing it on porpouse cause they cant hack it. they give you 1 meg for a few weeks then drop to eircom speeds. 55 k don and 26 up = 512/256 conection. They guy on the phone tried to convince me i had a 512 connection when i rang up one time. Probabally hoping i was the dumb 3 kids and a mortgage family type thay buy the computers from PC superstores. They are the customers they want people who dont know what they are suposed to be getting. ANd how many are there out there that dont evem know their BB is bad?

We'll I'm giving it 1 week from today and if its not sorted by then they can take the f***ing thing out.I had about 2 hours of half decent game play last night and d/load speed was back to full whack but only lasted for about an hour . So Wise Man anymore predictions on when this class service will be fixed ??

At least I have the choice now of going for DSL instead.

Nothing is ever is easy or goes to plan in this world. The new link is in place between Ballycoolin and Ballymun. Each of these links requires a licence from Commreg this will be in place on Tuesday coming so it is just a matter of routing traffic through it then, To activate the link before they get approval would be a big no no. Also there was a 5 minute glitch today across the network Im told it was a power issue at main switch.

as for Blanch people ive got some great reports and some bad reports about the atrium high site mabey you can inform me how you are doing. Ive attached some pings this evening from my home connection and it seems to be perfect I have downloads speeds at about 1.5 megs and there is nothing differnt about my link than yours.
If any of you have any specific problems can you private mail me on boards and I will try and sort them out for you, So you can avoid all the bu###hit.
I cant promise anything but I will do my best to at least inform and explain whats going on.. Hope this has been some help.

PS keep on passing on the comments people do actually care what going on.

Thats exactly what happened to me. at least i'm out of the years contract. I asked the parents if they've ever received any invoices and they've never received any!!

Well im not too concerned with breaking my contract as its IBB who have broken the contract by not providing a 1meg line and over charging me for a 512/256 connection.

Wise man my pings are good from about a week ago but my dloads are sub standard, and it is anoying me espicially now that ntl is now in my area! i can see the atriim if I turm my head to the left right now and i cant see any problems out there. But then it is dark so I will look foward to another magic date. Tuesday! I`ll gladly pay ya tuesday for a 1 meg line today!

Here's a comment for you, today I received an invoice for two months Breeze Lite 1mb 20:1 access, I haven't gotten anywhere near the 1mb. EVER!

I have contacted the customer support team re: compensation but for the last week they have been waiting to talk to a "manager", perhaps you could help me out?
