    Metallica - Master of Puppets
    Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Opeth - one of the first 3 albums...

...I'm having a problem writing anything to distinguish these albums. All have a lot of soul. All of them could be considered masterpieces. They're just ****ing great...

The aul Dimebag bashing will never go down too well will it!!!! Unbelievable guitarist....

Some really good posts so far.

    Top 5:
Thin Lizzy - The black Rose: A great album. It's such a pity Gary Moore didn't play on more Thin Lizzy albums.

Dream Theater - Falling into Infinity

Pantera - Vulgar display of power: Used to get hammered on dutch gold in 2nd year of college listening to this. So many happy memories!!!....

Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt2: First album I heard by DT. Couldn't believe there was music this good!!!

Guns N' Roses - Use you're Illusion 2: First album I ever bought. I thought it was genius. Still do...

Good to see some Rock Albums in the later peoples choices as opposed to just metal.
Whats wrong with just metal? You started at pornapster for not branching out more. Judging by the fact that hes a mod, hes obviously not some 12 year-old kid who only knows whats in his parents cd collection, so hes old enough to have listened to all types of music, finds metal his favourite, and his favourite 5 (or 7) albums just all happen to be metal, and so be it. No point in putting down rock albums just for the sake of it.

    Anyway, in no particular order
Children Of Bodom - Hate Crew Deathroll
    Metallica - Kill Em All
    Megadeth - Peace Sells
    Iron Maiden - Killers
Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss

C'man be honest most metal fans don't branch out to listening to anything different such as indie. I know some of you will bite back at me for what I'm about to say but alot of metal fans from who I know only listen to Metal because they are following a trend. To be seen or heard listening to anything else apart from Metal with some Metal fans is almost like commiting adultery. I am all for people listening to music which they like no matter what genre or image their scene conveys as long as the music makes you happy thats the most important. I listen mostly to indie/rock myself but I do appreciate and like some Metal but it cannot be denied that alot of metal don't expand their horizons with regards to different music.
