Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all, I went to burn a DVD there and was surprised to find that nero only recognised it as having a capacity of 3.9GB, now it quite clearly says 4.7GB on the box (only brand new)

Is this a known issue? I have little experience burning DVDs, but I find it very surprising that nero of all things would be flawed, I tried a few discs from the box, all the same.

    Anyone got any ideas?
PS I'm using XP, would that have anything to do with it?

never had this problem and ive burned thousands of discs.
download this and see the structure of the disc
http://www.dvddecrypter.com/ go to file /iso and read...
and it will tell you all about the brand and dye and recording speeds of the dvd r .
other wise your nero settings may have been changed.

Thanks for the tip, here's what the diagnostic said:

    Free Space: 4,153,671,680 bytes
    Free Time: 450:44:10 (MM:SS:FF)

    Physical Format Information (Last Recorded):
    Book Type: DVD-R
    Part Version: 5
    Disc Size: 120mm
    Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified
    Number of Layers: 1
Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP)
    Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit
    Track Density: 0.74 um/track
First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608
