    Hi All,

    The Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) Dragonslayers are pleased to announce that Q-Con XII, our annual gaming convention, will take place from the 24th to 26th June 2005 at the Whitla Hall, QUB, Belfast.

    Bookings for the Convention are now open and the Booking Form can be downloaded from our website. Book now and you’ll enter a draw for a 40GBP/60EUR GameStop gift voucher!

    Weekend tickets are 8GBP/12EUR and accommodation starts from 9.50GBP/16.50EUR per day (UK Student/International Student rate respectively). Please note that the deadline for booking accommodation is the 13th June 2005.

    Q-Con features a wide variety of events including Roleplaying games, LARPs, Board games, Card games, Console games, War games and dedicated anime screenings.

    Hi All,

    Q-Con is pleased to announce a number of Anime related events, with free public Cinema showings at the QFT and anime showings running throughout the convention in the 300-seater Larmour Theatre at QUB, complete with a large projector screen.


    Anime Showings at the Queens Film Theatre (QFT):

    (PLEASE NOTE: Booking for the QFT Anime Showings will not be open until the start of June. Further booking information and contact details will be announced at a later date)

    Ghost in the Shell (15) - 11.15pm, Friday 24th June 2005
    Perfect Blue (18) - 11.15pm, Saturday 25th June 2005
    RahXephon The Motion Picture: Pluralitas Concentio (PG) - 3.00pm, Sunday 26th June 2005

    Q-Con in conjunction with the QFT, Manga UK and ADV Films are proud to present a selection of some of the best in anime cinema. The QFT Anime Showings are FREE to both the general public and Q-Con attendees - however, high demand is expected so we recommend you reserve your ticket as soon as booking is open. There will also be a large amount of tickets available exclusively for Q-Con attendees at the convention.


    Anime Showings at the Larmour Theatre:

    As if the cinema showings weren't enough, we've also got a full lineup of anime shown throughout Q-Con itself! Thanks to the kind support of our sponsors Manga UK, ADV Films and MVM Films (Anime-On-Line) we have 3 days of anime and plenty of great prizes to give away in our Charity Raffle.

    Set in the 300-seater Larmour Theatre complete with a large projector screen and situated right beside the main convention venue, we've plenty of unmissable shows for you. There will also be showings of trailers, anime music videos and shorts!

    Just a reminder to people that this is happening at the end of this month! If anyone is going speak up and can organise some transport :)

    I'll most likly be heading up mid friday on the train.

    Anyone wanting cheap transport to Belfast should lookup Aircoach - 12 euro return from Dublin->Belfast.

    Yeah 12 euro return is sweet! Its about 40ish return by express train last year :/

    Right well with QCon on THIS weekend might as well post all the times for travel..

    *Aircoach* - 12 euro return from Dublin Airport
    Every hour, on the hour from 0700 to 2100.
    Been told it takes between 2 and 2:30 hours.

    *Irish Rail* - Cost alot last year ~40euro.
    11am, 1:20pm, 3:20pm, 4:50pm, 7pm.
    Journeys take just over 2 hours.

    *Bus Eireann* - 38 euro return or 31 for students.
    Every two hours, on the hour from Busaras.
    From 8am till 8pm.
    Joureny takes just under 3 hours.

    Going to be seeing how much of work I can get off and get the
    nearest train if its not much otherwise will be aiming at
    Aircoach.
