Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Just a quick question :

A wireless connection should be always on - am I correct ?

I have a wilress setup where the connection keeps getting dropped. The signal strength is at 70% ish , but now and again the machine will disconnected from the WAP and the reconnect itself again. is this a common situation ?

Are you sure it's disconnecting, or does Windows keep giving you the "Now connected to ...." bubble?

Afaik, the wireless card will keep renegotiating the link to get the best throughput for the signal strength, and each time it renegotiates, Windows will pop up and tell you.

You may be able to tell it to not negotiate, but if the signal strength is fluctuating, you'll keep finding yourself actually losing the connection.
