Can't comment on the Merrion but none in the Fitz. The closest you would get to it is the fixed limit 5 Card draw on a Tuesday, which scares me.

    Welcome to the forum.

limit hold 'em...what's the point of that?? I've never heard such a ridiculous thing in my life..

If I can't throw every penny I have in the pot with 72o then what's the point ;)

welcome to the nuthouse, pull up a chair and stay a while, there are some here who talk a good game if nothing else :D

Limit doesn't seem very popular in B+M casinos this side of the Atlantic. The Fitz was planning a 5-10 game, I'm not sure if it's still on the cards. They tried to get a 2-4 going before Christmas without any interest. Personally I hate the game, I lose concentration unless there's a possibility of doubling up/losing all my money on any given hand.

And yes, there is a 5 card draw game, I thought it was half pot limit though. Draw is still very popular in Ireland, and apparently there are various less formal games that happen around the country with stakes at least as big as anything in the Fitz.

It's a shame that's not true in my local casino. They have 4-8 and 10-20 HE. They also have a 150€ NL tournament twice a month and 7-stud tables also (not sure of the stakes). It's a pain as i'm not paying 150 for a tournament and limit is boring.
