haha, course I've still kept it a secret ;)

I'm the master at hiding my work from my family...

although, I did come pretty close to my mother seeing it a few weeks ago, I was wearing a sleeveless top and see saw a star poking up, I managed to convince her I drew on myself  which isn't that unusual actually!!
but rather stupid of her to belive me!!!

Although, I have to admit, it is becoming a lot harder to hide with the heat and all...
it's a challenge if anything else though
    lol!!!
    :D

Was that done in Celestial Ring by Trevor Magee?

Darren does good work. He touched up my tattoo there a few weeks back and I know I'll be going back in to get my next done by either him or Mac.

I got this while on holls (I know, probably not the best idea, but I did it anyway!) it's just a little one on my wrist, although now that the scabbing is almost over it's looking more blue than black?

I'm seeing some beautiful artwork in this thread. Seeing as this is my first post, I think I'll introduce myself by showing my ink. First is a lizard that I had done during my time living in Yellowknife, NWT, Canada in 2005. The second is a kanji that means "Victory" and "Success". It was done back in 2000.

    Hi folks!

Ive heard the rumour that if u get ur other halfs name imprinted/tatooed anywhere on ur body then it may curse it and you and ur partner will split up within the next 12 months! So i was thinking, instead of getting his name we have a little thing we made up a while ago which is a combo of his and my name combined and i was thinking of getting that somewhere on my thigh. Has nayone else heard of this so called "curse" and if it is aparently true then will having a combo of his my name have same effect? lol silly question i know. cant help my superstisions!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,513 ✭✭✭RoadSweeper

Oh no don't! If you get the combo it'll end in 6 months, half the name half the time!

    Wrong thread too...

Hard to know what to do with that, I'd say colour it, but only if someone else were to do it, not whoever did that piece so far.

I appreciate you love it and if so fair enough so take my critique as an impartial view please and not an insult. The shading so far is all one tone, no depth to the piece at all. The artist is not very skilled.
Nothing to do with the picture by the way, I think a better picture would only reinforce my opinion.

Hey blub, thanks for your reply, i do love it but maybe thats just it being my first tatoo and the fact that i cant see it very well only in mirror lol, but i'll not take anything said as an insult, constructive criticism!!!! I think i prob will get it colored but now im not sure by whom

I got it done in living art in Limerick. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the artist but it was not Buddy.

It was the guy with the Lotus flower and script on his arm. Two sittings. First was to go over the design, him to draw it out and do the outline. 2 weeks later back for the colour.

haha nah I don't fancy having a pervert on my arm :)

The next stage is adding more detail, putting white onto it to bring it to life and then the background colour. After that i'll be starting on the back of the arm

    Class tattoo, who done it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 90 ✭✭ugliest

mac -colourworks, he designed it too.

2 sessions, not gonna hype them up anymore cos its clear form lookin round here everyone knows how professional they are+the high standard of their work :p

REEEEEEEEEALLY enjoyable experience, looks beautiful in real life, reccomend them to anyone (and i have).
-you cant REALLY tell but it starts at centre of my back+comes round my side, was a lot of fun gettin it. :)

:edit: forgot to mention its also covering up a scar or two. primarily faded little ones you couldnt really notice unless you were looking for them but also a fairly bulbous keloid one.

can see it if you look between lenore+the skeleton in the right picture:

    19881380a688086903b209374935l.jpg

here it is before it faded a bit: 19881380a1403688577b298774953l.jpg

you can see that even though its faded, the tissue is still really raised+it would've been really difficult to tattoo over (its very squishy+the skin is really weird on it, anyone with very raised keloids knows this), not a bother to him!

-good to know, especially as i'd been led to believe i couldnt get it tattooed over. (maybe it was still too tough or red when i asked people)

I recognised the studio from the pic. Im gonna have Mac do my next tattoo cos he's done work on a few of my mates and it's brilliant! At last I'm not the only one hyping his work anymore!
