I`m going to be a daddy for the first time in a few days and I want to get a tattoo with my sons name.
Now I have a few ideas, his hand print with his name hidden in it or his name as an ambigram in a tribal type of font.
I`m not to worried about size yet as I`d like to get a design and settle on it, I might also add to it if I have another kid, but for the moment I dont want it to look like I`m going to add to it.
I have a few ideas I found, but I`m open to any ideas. This is my first tattoo so I`m new to it, thanks for any fed back, :D

had this done by damon in Atattooed in Bray

Still have to get the wings finished but looking savage so far.

also is a great cover up for a scar across the waist area on the tattoo

Those are really cool. I have often tought of getting one, but, my biggest problem with a tattoo is that it is too permanent. I don't know if I would still like something 15 years after I got it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭Iago

    What does it say?

in Latin or in English? ;)

The English translation is "I will either find a way, or make one"

It has been attributed to Hannibal, when his generals told him that it was impossible to cross the Alps with Elephants. That may or may not be true, but the message and sentiment has a lot of resonance with me regardless of origin.

In a village in NW Thailand... Big moped crash last night where I really should have died or been seriously injured but with a massive stoke of luck, only have a bruised body and a dented ego.

The top bit is luck and the bottom bit is the name of the village.. First tattoo and I like it alot.

Small bit more detail of the actual tattoo process.. One stick had 4 needles nd the other had 7. I got to keep them as souvenirs aswell.
Took jus over 2 hours I think.
