jaysus, how many threads do you need to put this in!

tattoo zoo used have a page, but as far as I can tell it's down, but there was never much on it anyways or it was never updated that much..I don't think the guy that designed it ever actually finished doing it for them or something. Just call into them if you're in town, they're all pretty nice.

Ah sure might as well stick this one in here too.
Can't be bothered to find a proper pic of the new ink.
I got hearts to match my stars.
And a broken heart on my wrist. EeeeeeeeeeeeMoooooooooooooO!

    IT'S NOT FINISHED!

And yes. I know. My stars are all over the gaff.

    Poser.... :p

 Brave lady getting them on down onto your hands! Do you ever find people being judgemental about them, ie job interviews etc?

Thanks. Can anyone recommend a tattooist that does good blackwork?

I would recommend the guy I went to for mine, Maruisz in Snakebite, on Middle Abbey Street.

But the thing I would recommend doing most is looking around at as many portfolios as you can and selecting an artist that you think does the best work in the style you like, as 'blackwork' could be anything in any style.

I do indeed. But screw that.

I'm not after a 'domestic/commercial' kind of job.

    I'm hoping to become a model/photographer/piercer

    Or.

    A games programmer.

    Ha. What a choice!

I just gotta get up off my arse and actually work on gettin me one of them careers.

    That's some decent work.

Not my style at all. I prefer bright new skool colours.

    But nice line work.

    We get the idea.

Now please stop pushing and pushing for your new place!

You'll end up putting people off going there!

    Good ould bass clefs!

I wanted something similar awhile ago but now I've come up with a few ideas for both my sleeve and my side piece.

I was looking at flash work in celestial YEARS ago. And I've always loved this certain flower piece. Os on my side I'm thinkin on my right outter thigh at the top starting with the flowers working all the way up my side entwining the fantasy hummingbirds into it.

Ah man. That's it. i've decided I'll check it out on wednesday.

    im planning my next already:)

Ah same as, but my heart is torn.

I'm trying to save for a move to Canada. Aaaaaaaah!

And there's so much work I need/want done.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 958 ✭✭✭porn_star

well what's the rush? for something that's gonna be on your body for the rest of your life, should you not put the priority, which i'd imagine moving to canada would be, first?!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,900 ✭✭✭rannerap

    weird.............i was contemplating moving there

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,095 ✭✭✭Fantasy_Suicide

Yeah, true. there's no rush. I'm just impulsive, and I'd be wary of getting inked over there seeing as I know nothing about any of the artists over there.

Canada have some serious artists. Check out Bob Tyrrell. You are also near the US so could pop down to some of the artists there.

Oki.. so alot of people might not understand this tattoo.

Its a replica from a plush "monster" I had since 1985 when I had hip surgery on my right hip. He has followed me everywhere in life but starts to be a little worn and torn. So I thought I good idea was to get a nice tat of him so he can rest at home but still be with me :)

I like the way it actually looks like fur :)

those were the best things ever, i hav vague memories if them. i think you should let it have some wear ad tear, just like a normal stuffed toy after years it gets ragged and torn :D hella cool

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

As soon as I read "plush monster" and 1985 I knew what it was gonna be before I looked at the pic! :D I always wanted one of them! :D

I got a boglin instead though cuz my folks couldn't get one of those at the time! :D

    Woooooh

I have a bit of a tale to tell here.
Basically I had the hearts outlined and I was not happy with them at all at all.

So I popped into celestial in the green today and asked was there anyone to sort me out with having them fixed up. I was pointed in the direction of their tattoo artist Paul.

I'd never met him before or anything but I can safely say he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met.

I actually felt like this guy really wanted to help me out. He was very friendly and very sympathetic.

Within half an hour I was seen too. Sat down and Paul explained the whole piece needed re-lining.

I didn't mind a bit as long as I had something half decent made out of them

    On goes the needle.

He begins the line work and already I'm feeling happier about the piece. When the linework was done I was already over the moon. Next comes the colour.

Now. Unlike what some artists would do and just fill the hearts in red, he gave them some shading and texture. He made me feel as though he really wanted to make something of the piece.

In the end I was so overjoyed with the result. He had turned my biggest regret into my favourite tattoo. I almost cried!!!!

I cannot reccommend this guy highly enough. He's very professional, friendly and he really cares about his work. There's not many artists like him left in the body mod world.

The colour is amazing. It's really made me soooo happy. Two thumbs up from me, Paul!

    Anyway. pictures!!

    Looks Great now!!

Glad you got it all sorted, it's terrible when it doesnt pan out the way you planned first time round.

Its so assuring when you get a tattoo artist that really has pride in there work.

I will upload some of mine soon, I noticed there is some real beauties here..

Oh yeah I am newb to the forum, so HELLO all :)
