Has anyone tried dying carpet?? I have an old car that's carpet has faded from black to a light grey....all suggestions welcome!!

There is some new company offering this service.....I remember hearing my Mam talkin about it but I wasn't really listening....I think it's expensive enough though and would you not rather get a new carpet which hasn't been worn down over the years?
