Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know what it was or, for that matter, did anyone see it?

Going by mad m's posting, maybe it was '9 Songs'?

I was told it was 'The Jacket' starrring Keira Knightley & Adrien Brody. I was also told it was no good.

Nah, '9 Songs' was shown earlier on in the festival. 'The Jacket' makes sense though, as, if I'm not mistaken, some (or all) of it was filmed in Ireland?

Saw "The Jacket" last night good film. As far as I could tell none of it was filmed in Ireland. A mate was able to get me into the press screening of 9 Songs. I enjoyed the movie (not in that way you sickos). While it was explicit it was never pornographic.

Yep, was the Jacket. The film was like a bad episode of Quantum Leap mixed with Jacobs Ladder. Keira Knightley was in it so I guess that was a plus point, as for the rest, it gets one giant, resounding "MEH".

The director was there and was going to do a Q&A session after the movie but I left before that happened.

The Jacket was filmed in Scotland and Canada. None of it was filmed in Ireland.

I saw it yesterday and I thought it was quite good.

chatting away to michael dwyer at the closing night party last night, he was astounded by the popularity of the festival this year, and for tthose of you who missed it(including me :( ) the jacket gets released nationwide in may, no-one guessed it either, so the free pass for next years festival went to the first person chosen out of a hat, trailers that were show beforehand included fantastic four, charlie and the chocolate factory, sin city and several more

There was no fantastic four trailer before it. I wouldn't say several more either. There was 5 trailers or so, like normal. Batman Begins etc.

Anyhow I quite enjoyed the film. From the very start I thought it was gonna be a war film and was quite disheartened (not usually a fan) but it wasn't and I was happy.

It was quite interesting to hear the directors comments alright. Definately very down to earth. Seemed kinda shy too. :p

Oh and on 9 songs I thought it was rubbish. Didn't enjoy that film one bit. It was just "real" life style porn with some filling (which was entirely pointless in my opinion). The scenes were very short which irritated me - I know it's a short film but come on, the "concert" scenes were much longer than all but one scene in the film I think. I could and would NEVER recommend that film to anybody.
