Wat really annoys me is dat peop are nw likin Green Day just coz of da Americal Idiot album nd dnt ave a clu bout da old stuff! Half of da peop I no who 'like' Green Day have never heard of Basket Case or Minority or ne of da classics!! It sucks 4 da old veterans!

They came from punk! they started at punk clubs even joined the new wave conspiracy to **** up woodstocks 20th anaversary( <-- bad spelling probly)for the hippies! )
ok they music doent sound punk now but punk inst just about the music its a way of life!

Boulevard of Broken Dreams is what drew basically all of Ireland towards Green Day. This whole thing about POP is nonsense. Are QOTSA gonna become stoner pop rock? I'm happy for green day getting the credit they deserve, even though half there fans only know Good Riddance and Basketcase and think their first album is dookie!

I know this is off topic but why don't green day ever start a gig with panic song?

Well... at the gig in the Ambassador when they did play a few pre dookie songs a load of people from the front took the opportunity to take a break or get a drink. It's not surprising that they don't play songs like that anymore, nor could you blame them for not playing them when it's pretty clear that most people don't want to hear them.

Never mind Panic Song, what happened to Going To Pasalacqua...?

How I always kknow by peoples age is the bands they call Punk......... Greenday/Blink182/NOfx/Rancid they are noting more then pop punk to me.

Anarchist: They are pop-punk. That doesn't mean they're bad, or not punk. Thy're an easily accessible version of punk. I don't think anyone's going to argue they're in the same bracket as The Misfits, Minor Threat or any of that bunch.

I like a bit of Greenday, they were pop punk and have evolved into something else. I also like a lot of "proper" punk: Misfits, DK, Discharge, To What End?, Foot In Mouth, Samhain. so it doesn't make a ****ing ounce of difference. so stop bickering and grow up. please!

See i dont see why morons really need to have a go at these bands sure i'd rate the likes of crass higher and even conflict but i can still sit down and throw on "pop punk" or anything else for that matter and like it.
Its bad enough with the elitest punks that actually do know what they are on about but this guy should be shot with a bullet of his own ****e.
