Digital camera. Features.

    Hi ppl.
    I am going to purchase a digital camera soon.

    I want a good quality, light-weight, durable one with "up-to-date" features.
    I can spend up to to approx E350.
    Thing is, (though I'm technical minded in other areas), I'm afraid I don't know much about digital camera specs.
    Maybe someone could briefly explain what are the most important features that I should look for, what are not so important(gimmicky), and what is the huge range in price mainly down to....?

    And if anyone can recommend a brand, model that might be suitable, that would be great.
    And do they all have small video-capture built-in now(I'd like that also!!)
    I'd want to use it mainly for posting pics on my web-site.
    So, I want good quality pics. But not necessarily loadsa features(as I can use Photoshop for any special effects etc.!)
