Can anyone here give examples of Albums that go from tender to violent and back again etc (esp WRG to lyrics).

Prime example I can think of would be Appetite for Destruction by GNR which goes presents violent themes/imagery (Welcome to the Jungle, Outta Get Me) to tender heartfelt stuff (Sweet Child O Mine, Rocket Queen).

I'll be interested to hear more examples that you may know.

I've always liked the contrast between "Big Man with a Big Gun" and "A Warm Place" on The Downward Spiral, although A Warm Place is instrumental.

On The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, Masters Of War comes straight after Girl From The North Country. That's a stark contrast!
