I'm definitely going, I'm a fan of both bands. Hoping that the rest of the line up isn't **** nu-metal though.

any links with info on malmsteem comming to ireland?

Should be a good day out & it seems that they could be making it into an annual event. Not too gone on the "Reading Ireland" title though

Tickets really expensive, forked out €134 for two standing tickets, no beer tonight i guess :( well maybe 1 or 2 ;)

Just before the band embarked on their 2004 Against All Gods Tour in support of their 'Best Of' record, ex-FIGHT guitarist Mark Chausee was hired to fill the guitarist spot. There has been no official word yet as to his permanence as a member of Marilyn Manson.

    their current line up is:
    MM
Madonna Wayne Gacy - Keyboards n'stuff
    Tim Skold - Bass
    Mark Chausee - Guitar
    Ginger Fish - Drums

recently there have been rumours of Fish being replaced by Chris Vrenna.that remains to be seen
i think skold is taking up the guitar duties now. and the vrenna thing is **** (imo), considering his solo project tweaker being in the studio (or so i'm lead to believe)

I got my tickets yesterday!YAY! now I'm broke boo

Dunno if I'd say that lineup is worth that kinda money.. I mean, I like Maiden, I like the earlier Manson stuff but nearly €70 for that? Havin' a laugh mate.
However I would pay to see the lineup that's touring (I think) Germany, Maiden and Dream Theater.. ooh.. I'm having difficulty standing up.

I think ill wait til nearer the date to get my ticket , i love maiden but i dont really like manson at all , the ticket prices are kinda taking the piss a bit .

It's probably Ticketmaster saying "Wow, there's still a market for it even after our best efforts to kill off good music. Let's bleed the f*ckers dry!"

  • Registered Users Posts: 257 ✭✭ether

Well worth the price. Maiden and Manson forget the other support.

Booked my tickets, looking forward to it. Being advertised on telly too, I feel so commercial

Mazza cancelled his last visit - bastard, I had a very good chance of getting back-stage. I wouldn't be surprised if he did it again, same as those Slipknot fools - "Worried parents said we were a bad influence, and we agree with them".

I hate that, why dont they just stop THEIR kids from going!? Slipknot have played since so hopefully this country has caught up with the rest of the world a bit and won't mind Manson playing

did you pay 70 euro for your standing ticket then - 65 plus your 5.95 handling fee?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,618 ✭✭✭Civilian_Target

Horrificly expensive I know - but Maiden was so good last time that ticket purchase is inevitable.

    Or rather, was inevitable.

i would find it painful to be there maiden are a lil'bit too maidenish for my liking....marilyn could be good though but 72 euro argh

I only paid 67 in cash. costs more if you use a credit card and more again if you do it online.

Yeah, 70.95 spot on. Very steep indeed. But I missed Maiden the last time, I don't want to miss them this time. I'm looking forward to seeing what Manson is like too.

I'm going, haven't got a ticket yet though.

Static X are also supporting...I think that's it, just the three of them? That's what I was told anyway...

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,146 ✭✭✭Ronan|Raven

    Gah Static X! :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,034 ✭✭✭✭It wasn't me!

Bleh. Could have hoped for better but wouldn't have gotten it. I'm not too interested in Manson but it might be fun to see his show. What'll be the best way to get pit passes? Show up on the morning maybe and ask for them?

got my tickets on hold from soundceller, my mates da knows the fellas in there so i might be on for a bit of a discount, and i know one of the RDS security guards so MAYBE backstage.

my mate went to metallica and nearly got backstage thanks to said security guard, if it wasn't for aikin

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,480 ✭✭✭projectmayhem

    hmm

if static-x play i might go but that band are in a spot of bother right now (guitarist has been arrested on charges of child molestation no less...). static-x absolutely owned korn... though that's not hard to do.

    Exactly what I was thinking.

I was hoping for something along the lines of In Flames or something.
